Ships

A ship is a means of transport for transport over water surfaces such as canals, rivers, lakes and sea. Inland waterway vessels are vessels that mainly navigate the inland waterways of a country. There are many types and sizes of ships to be found. Most ships have their own mechanical propulsion in the form of usually a large diesel engine.

In the history of shipping, ships were not motorized, and a ship could have been designed as a towage vessel. To indicate the difference between towage vessel and motorized vessel, the name Motorship has come into use. Now there is no more towage, and the few tow ships themselves are equipped with an engine.
